PREMIO IMPRESA AMBIENTE
The prize giving ceremony of the “Premio Impresa Ambiente” event promoted by the Ministry for the Environment and Protection of the Territory and the Sea, the Ministry for Economic Development, Unioncamere, and the Chambers of Commerce of Rome and Milan, took place last 6 March in the Temple of Hadrian (Tempio di Adriano) conference hall in Rome.
This sought-after recognition was established in 2005, the aim being to promote Italian enterprises that tangibly contribute towards improving economic, social and environmental impact with a view to achieving sustainable development and award their commitment.
The awarding event, which takes place annually, is divided into 3 categories:
Best management for sustainable development
Best product for sustainable development
Best process / technology for sustainable development
Casalgrande Padana was awarded a special mention for the “Best management for sustainable development” category
”...for the company’s total integration of environmental issues in its processes, full involvement of the staff members in all aspects of eco-sustainable management, the company’s propensity to share the model with other organizations...”.
Casalgrande Padana, leading ceramic tile manufacturer, has been promoting projects concerning environmental innovation for years. These projects have concerned products and processes with a view to achieving “sustainable planning and building”, while similar initiatives have dealt with social and environmental responsibilities and have been dedicated to both the employees and to various stakeholders outside the company and to the area in which it works.
