NUMBER 5

The award ceremony held last March saw the official launch of the fifth edition of the Grand Prix, which will conclude in 2002. The "Great Prize" promoted and financed by Casalgrande Padana is confirmed as unique initiative of its kind in the ceramic industry sector. It has grown once more, both in terms of quantity (100 designers from 30 countries in the entire world) and in terms of the quality of the project accomplished with Granitogres and Marmogres. These are technical, architectural materials, through which Casalgrande Padana has created a privileged rapport with residential designers.

Loges has now been added to the collection, a complete line of tiles in porcelain stoneware patented and designed to reduce the problems of visually disabled people and to increase the safety of their movement in large open public spaces. Casalgrande Padana makes itself available to designers and technicians to offer advice and assistance, in an ongoing professional dialogue which passes through traditional systems such as physical written catalogues, but also telematic support systems and networks, such as CD-Rom and the Internet.
