EMAS Regulation – a tool for improvement
Used as a tool to monitor and improve the company's environmental performance, the EMAS Regulation is a voluntarily applied instrument of extraordinary social value and import. In order to implement the regulation, Casalgrande Padana set up an environmental management system within the company structure, which, on the basis of a detailed preliminary analysis of the environmental impacts of the company and an objective evaluation of their relevance, defines a programme of improvement, setting objectives and verifying their achievement (Environmental Policy box). With the declaration of environmental compliance, Casalgrande Padana undertakes a precise commitment towards all those with whom it comes into contact. To guarantee the credibility of the entire system, it is assessed by an authorised third party verification body.
