The new generation ceramic products proposed by Casalgrande Padana are widely employed also for high-tech applications, such as Twin System floating floors for outdoor use. For this specific use, which requires extremely reliable materials, Casalgrande Padana proposes porcelain stoneware tiles from the Granitogres, Granitogres Rusticato and Pietre Native lines. These products are in a position to guarantee high technical performances as well as a remarkable quality levels when it comes to visual impact and aesthetic.
These materials are frostproof, inabsorbent, easy to clean, have very high resistance to warping, impact, wear and abrasion and to chemical aggressions. Fuerthermore they can withstand static loads like flower-holders, benches and similar sorts of furniture and decorations generally laid on floors of balcons and terraces.
Twin System consists of a standard porcelain stoneware slab and a ceramic support, also made of porcelain stoneware, joined by a blend of special thermosetting resins. Thus linked, the two ceramic elements are then duly rectified to ensure precise and regular size to the slabs.
Developed for outdoor applications such as terraces, porticoes, balcons, paths, pool surrounds etc., Twin System features a raised surface to create an adjustable technical under-space that can be easily inspected to make possible any kind of intervention. Additionally it ensures that rain water regularly flows away thus preventing any stagnation.
Twin System is available in sizes 40x40 cm, 45x45 cm and 60x60 cm in a wide range of surface textures and colors which can be mixed and matched together to create a vast number of patterns to suit personal tastes.
With Twin System, texture, color, finish, shape and size become the means for creating technological surfaces of great architectural quality and allow designers to give full vent to all their artistic flair.
For the intallation of the Twin System's slabs there are three different models of support:
Fixed supports with heights of 25 mm or 35 mm
Supports with adjustable height up to 220 mm
Supports with adjustable height up to 220 mm with adjustable slope
All above supports are made of polypropylene, a plastic material that is very resistant from chemical and
mechanical point of view which is also able to withstand heavy weather conditions.
