With its second Creative Book Casalgrande Padana sets out to offer a series of notes and reflections on the practical applications of Granitogres and Marmogres, especially as regards the possibilities these materials allow in defining the architectural space. The aim is double: on one side, to publish a work able, in spite of its modest contribution, to stimulate the research and ideas of those who desire to work with products granting extraordinary technical and functional performance such as Granitogres and Marmogres. On the other side, the present Creative Book is born to generate an increasing exchange of ideas taking place between ceramic tiles manufacturers and those who use them in architectural creations.
The goal of these pages is, therefore, that of stimulating research, giving life to new and unusual combinations of shape and colours and opening up new and alternative paths for creative, architectural thought. But let us take a closer look at how the various chapters nave been organized. After the Introduction there is a short company profile. Next comes the chapter "Projects without frontiers", in which a photographic review of works from around the globe that have used GRANITOGRES is introduced. A majority of these projects also took part in the three previous editions of the architectural competition Grand Prix Casalgrande Padana.
The following chapter includes a series of studies on composition. This research project is subdivided into 5 section: complete area compositions, centre decorations, borders (surroundings), pedestrian walk signs, high pressure abrasive jet cutting. These study projects are designer layouts in the real sense of the expression that set out to highlight how floors within an architectural space can be planned and created not only based on functional and technical parameters but also with considerable aesthetic content and performance. In this sense, then, the floor of any space can be transformed into something that not only pleases the eye but is also completely in harmony with its overall use.
Finally, a short view of the two series of fully vitrified porcelain tiles Casalgrande Padana: "Granitogres" and "Marmogres". This, briefly, is our Creative Book. We hope that, through its abundance of information and many creative proposals, it can act as a positive stimulus towards your professional work.
