Casalgrande Padana at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile
From 16 to 21 June 2020, Casalgrande Padana will be present at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, in the section S. Project, Pavilion 13, Stand G02, a creative and experimental workshop covering everything from interior design and covering materials to design products and decorative solutions.
Casalgrande Padana’s manufacturing technology, built on technical and entrepreneurial excellence and with a constantly close eye on research and innovation, teamed with the sophistication of Italian craftsmanship and design, has allowed us to provide a practical, effective response to the needs of contemporary design projects, taking the concept of ceramic covering materials towards new spatial dimensions and making it suitable for all fields of architectural work: from building envelope technologies featuring tiles for façade cladding and ventilated walls (where porcelain stoneware guarantees thermal insulation and protection from the elements) to experimenting with solutions able to improve the functional performance of architectural surfaces and combat the effects of air pollution (bioactive ceramics), as well as specific proposals for safety flooring and for breaking down architectural barriers (Tactile).
Surfaces of rare beauty, featuring realistic veins and colours able to express the timeless allure of the most beautiful stone, marble and granite materials, as well as the original splendour of different types of wood, with its gnarls and relief veining effects that make for a valid alternative to parquet flooring. Casalgrande Padana porcelain stoneware tiles come in a wide variety of colours, textures, formats, surfaces and thicknesses, allowing them to be coordinated in terms of appearance and function, for a powerfully expressive result.
They are perfect for any type of project, from shopping malls to public buildings, as well as for outdoor cladding, swimming pools of all kinds, residential buildings and restoration projects. They can be used in all sectors, from wellness to the nautical sector, as well as in all areas of the home (from indoor walls and floors, where they are an excellent choice in the case of underfloor heating systems, to outdoor walkways, where, thanks to their 20 mm thickness, they can be laid dry on gravel, grass or sand); the slender thickness and the large-size formats make Casalgrande Padana porcelain stoneware tiles suitable for worktops, washbasins, wall cupboards, wardrobes, doors, dividing walls and window ledges, and they also offer an original solution for garden furnishings, on both even and curved surfaces.
Riviera Shopping Center - Architecture Cool Grey, White and Newood Beige
Swimming pool, Hotel Ajda, Slovenia – Tundra, Bay and Talco
Outdoor flooring, Villa Rihana (Malta) – Pietra Baugè Beige
On worktops in particular, large-size tiles can be used to obtain a jointless surface, which is easier to clean and more hygienic, and – combined with Bios Antibacterial® HYDROTECT technology – kills bacteria and combats mould.

The versatility and flexibility of Casalgrande Padana porcelain stoneware tiles means they can be applied in projects of all types and styles, ranging from modern to more classic, as well as rustic, country, provençal and shabby chic; they are ideal for both minimalist and eclectic styles, as well as settings with a Scandinavian, boho chic or ethnic flavour, and even for industrial, metropolitan tastes.
New for 2020
The Marmoker collection gains new textures: the timeless allure of Calacatta Extra, Titan White and del Canova, with their classic veining on a white background that have taken the creativity of the great Tuscan masters to new heights, the delicate nuances of Fior di Pesco and Oyster Grey, the more vibrant tones of Caribbean Green, Brown Forest and Night Storm, the striking contrasts of Orange Black, Rosso Francia and the dark tones of Ossidiana, adding up to 46 different colour variants available in different formats, from 59x59 cm up to the large 160x320 cm tiles, in both natural and polished finishes and in two thicknesses, the slender 6.5 mm and the traditional 10 mm.
Floor and walls: Night Storm 118x236 cm, 118x118 cm and Titan White 118x258 cm
Macro and Terrazzo, two new granite-effect porcelain stoneware collections that bring a contemporary edge to grit and Venetian terrazzo, in which the random repetition of the irregular surface pattern resembles a natural floor surface; in Macro, irregular fragments form a jigsaw effect created by combining stones, pebbles and rocks, in which it’s the very material that provides the decoration; available in four variants (Moro, Bianco, Carnico and Grigio) in the slender 6.5 mm thickness and the traditional 10 mm thickness, all with a polished finish that enhances the overall appearance of the surface and the numerous colour variants.

Terrazzo, meanwhile, principally conceived for residential settings, available in the colours Pearl, Grey, White, Black and Beige in the polished and anti-slip natural Grip R11 surfaces, offers a new take on a natural “mosaic”, made up of tesserae of varying sizes, which by forming a single, continuous surface makes for a smooth effect that shapes an elegant, sophisticated setting.
Limpha, the Casalgrande Padana porcelain stoneware collection inspired by climbing plants to turn a covering solution into an element of natural beauty, gains a new texture, Coral Rose, available in the 120x240 cmlarge-size format, with a 6.5 mm thickness and a natural finish. Exceptionally versatile, Limpha is suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings, and for both new constructions and restoration projects: it can be used for private residential buildings and public buildings, from redeveloping offices, schools and gyms to enhancing anonymous or obsolete constructions, helping to restore character and improving their performance, and cutting maintenance costs to zero: in the presence of sunlight, Bios Self Cleaning® technology is able to destroy the pollutants present in the air and break down the dirt that settles on the surface of the tiles, so that it can be removed by rainwater, thanks to the outstanding water-repellent characteristics of the ceramic surface.
Providing a breath of beauty, this is a wall that helps boost the quality of human life, reducing pollution and improving air quality.

Perfect for residential settings, the new collections can also create an inviting atmosphere in other environments: from the common areas of hotels to shops, restaurant interiors and eateries and retail spaces.
Porcelain stoneware is green
Casalgrande Padana porcelain stoneware tiles are made using a few carefully dosed natural elements such as earth (clays, feldspars, sand and kaolins) fire, air and water. They do not contain plastic and are completely recyclable; they are fire-resistant and do not emit harmful substances even in the event of fire; they are easy to lay in any setting, are hygienic, non-allergenic, odour-free and antibacterial. Guaranteed for life, they are durable, unalterable, non-absorbent and inert, and are resistant to wear, the most aggressive chemical cleaning products (with the sole exception of hydrofluoric acid), frost, heat and extremely high temperatures, and have excellent bending strength.
Casalgrande Padana has always been aware of the importance of balanced growth. That’s why each stage of its production cycle pursues excellence through the use of industrial systems and sustainable environmental and energy policies. Casalgrande Padana tiles are made in a closed-loop production process, which means that any production waste, including wastewater, is treated and reused, all components are recovered, and the emissions resulting from the production process are purified through abatement systems that exploit the best technologies to comply with the limitations established by law.
ISO 14001 certification
Casalgrande Padana was among the industry’s first companies to gain environmental awareness and focus on protecting the environment, health and safety while developing and maintaining its competitiveness on the market. This commitment results in strategies that place the company at the forefront of the pursuit of technologies, raw materials, and processes that can limit the impact of its activities on society and the environment.
The EMAS regulation has turned out to be an extraordinary tool to monitor and improve companies’ environmental performance. Casalgrande Padana has implemented it through an environmental management system that defines an improvement programme based on the analysis of the company’s environmental impact and verifies the achievement of the set goals. Casalgrande Padana’s environmental statement further demonstrates the company’s commitment. An accredited third-party verifier ensures the credibility of the entire process.
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification was introduced in 1999 by the US Green Building Council, the organisation that works closely with research bodies and American government agencies to provide all industry operators with a green building certification system. The LEED certification evaluates the environmental, social and economic sustainability of buildings from their design to their everyday use through a flexible rating system that can be applied to all building types.
Given the growing interest in Italy, Casalgrande Padana has become member of Green Building Council Italia (GBC Italia), the national association recognised by USGBC to promote the LEED certification in Italy.
