The building is an integral part of a former industrial area subject to a large reclamation intervention and is an apparent urban watershed. The building has been given new dignity through an accurate functional recovery project envisaging a simple aesthetic renovation by applying a new ceramic cover developed ad hoc for its façade. The original value of the proposal consists in the identification and reproduction of a both functional and decorative element with a 3D surface texture which, albeit overtly modern in taste, recall items which were already present at the time of the original building. The long curvy façade is made more precious by porcelain stoneware bevelled-edge modules and more dynamic by exploiting light changes during the day with sophisticated compositional effects.
