Massimiliano e Doriana Fuksas

The school compound was conceived like an education citadel for the tourist sector and has a strong expressive character imposed on the urban landscape with a clear architectural connotation revealing its original design. The exuberant plastic grammar of the structure is proposed again inside the building through alternated flowing and sculpture-like shapes winding and intertwining to invade all environments and characterize their volumes and colours. In this extremely dynamic context, ceramic is used to provide modular order and formal stability. Porcelain stoneware floor slabs have been selected in monochrome neutral shades and carefully installed according to precise procedures to anchor the spaces to the ground like structural surfaces.
