A young couple contacted the Anna Thurow architecture studio to design the interiors of their spacious new home on the outskirts of Szczecin, looking onto the Oder river in Poland. The architects sought to adopt a youthful, universal style language to create a project with a light touch yet able to guarantee durability.
The base, featuring porcelain stoneware flooring and coverings from the collections Architecture, in the colour Black, Marmoker, in the colour Grafite, and Pietre di Sardegna, in the colours Punta Molara and Tavolara, blends with the white-painted walls and ceilings. Set against this background is a multi-functional central block crafted in wood, comprising the walk-in wardrobe, stairs and part of the kitchen furniture, which helps strike a balance with the overall neutral look.
